Panama advances to the knockout round while EL Salvador holds Costa Rica. With one game remaining for each team in Group C, the Canalmen have six points from their first two games, followed by Martinique with three points, El Salvador with one point, and Costa Rica with one point.

Martinique, shockingly, rolled out eight improvements from the group which had beaten El Salvador in their initial game and confronted persevering strain from Panama all along.

A shot from Panama striker Jose Fajardo and an Eric Davis header brought Martinique guardian Theo De Percin right into it right off the bat in the experience at Red Bull Field.

It was a bustling night for De Percin however the advancement at long last came in the 57th moment when Panama's tasteful midfielder Adalberto Carrasquilla tracked down Davis on the left, and the last option's pinpoint cross was met with a slug header from Fajardo.

Michael Murillo then multiplied the lead when he hooked on to Alberto Quintero's sharp chip over the top and took as much time as necessary prior to penetrating the ball into the top corner.

Martinique came back with a goal from Karl Fabien in the final minute, but their loss means that they will probably need to beat Costa Rica on Tuesday if they want to make it to the last eight for the second time in their history.

The Central American match that followed was watched by a large and enthusiastic crowd. The two teams responded with a performance that was full of energy and high-tempo football, but neither team scored.

Kevin Chamorro, the Costa Rican goalkeeper, saved Joshua Perez's long-range attempt, while veteran Celso Borges' thunderbolt from outside the box forced Mario Gonzalez into an excellent save.

When the ball fell to El Salvador's Brayan Gil from four yards out, he had the best chance of the game, but he missed with a snapshot that hit the bar.

Costa Rica tossed focus half Kendall Waston into assault and he had the ball in the net with a sensitive flick yet the work was precluded for offside.

After that, Anthony Contreras cleverly backheeled Waston into space and found him in space, giving him the chance to score in stoppage time. However, the defender shot wide.

There was wrath toward the finish of the game when the ref blew for a time as El Salvador raced to take a corner and their furious partner mentor Mauricio Cienfuegos was shown a red card for his fights.
